Thanksgiving and November

November just flew for us, like most holidays do, we spent some time in Utah, but spent the holiday in Denver with my family.
 Monkey man!
He started on Solid foods, he's eating grahm crackers here.  He'll eat almost anything, the first time he tries something he usually gags but if I keep introducing him to it he'll eventually eat it without a fight.  He loves beans, cheese, puffs, yogurt, oranges, bread, potatoes, peas, carrots and lots of other stuff! He's getting lots better at feeding himself now.

When we were in Utah we left a store and drove home and he got all quiet.  I figured he was asleep but when I opened up the back door this is how I found him.
Getting ready for church.  It's blurry but I love his smile in this one.
He used to do this pose when he was trying to figure out how to go from his stomach to a sitting position I call it the "strike a pose"
Morning time.  Don't you love his little drool spot next to him? I die! he's just too cute!

Fell asleep cuddling Grandma Karen.  She has the magic touch!
Playing the Piano with Auntie Klaire!
The biggest news of the month is he learned to CRAWL!!!! I don't know how this happened?! But he's getting quite good at it now, and into everything!

He became pretty good buddies with Hank, my parents dog while we were there.  Sadly, I think he's allergic because he had a rash the whole time we were there and we had to give him benadryl so he would sleep every night.  But the good news is the rash wasn't too bad so I'm hoping it will be something he'll grow out of.

His first piece of beef jerky, he loved it!
Shooting on black friday.  we needed to protect those ears! Auntie Klaire, Auntie Kina and Drake.

This is Kevin's four month picture.  Don't they look alike?!
Loves to play with kitchen utensils!
At Kevin's work they did MOvember, and paid $5 for every person who had a mustache on prostate cancer awareness day, so it was a good excuse for him to have some fun with facial hair.  He kept the goatee until the day for mustaches when he shaved it into a mustache.  And then had fun with that for a few days.

 Finally shaved off!
Walking with mom, and he fell asleep! we love to go on walks in the morning when it's cold out.

Festival of trees in Elko, it was small but lots of fun.
Seeing santa at the beginning of November.  Loved to grab onto his beard and hat.
Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house, he loved the mashed potatoes and the floor was covered with all of the food he ate.  Loved it!

He even got it in his hair!

 This was Kev's goatee!

Along with crawling a few days later he started to pull himself up on things.  I wasn't quite ready for that but i've gotten used to it now.  We love this little boy!!

Boo!

How is it already November?  I feel like the whole summer just flew by and then october was like a week long.  Life has been busy and exciting for us, Kevin is super busy with school and work so we take all the time we can get with him.  Somehow he still manages to do tons around the house even with such a demanding schedule!  We still found time to go to Utah and see Kevin's brother Mitch play football and meet his fiance!
Having fun at church, his nap time is right during our first hour, relief society. So we spend most of our time in  the mother's lounge or walking the halls and trying to get him to sleep.
My boys in the owl hats.  Drake wore his in his newborn pictures and it obviously doesn't fit anymore so I made him a new one.

Drake is watching Sesame Street here, he is obsessed with TV
This is Kevin watching TV, I'm pretty sure they're related just based on these pictures alone, ha!

 He loves his dad!
 Date night!
He loved to be covered in blankets at the beginning of the month, now he moves around too much that none of them stay on him anymore.
Soggy feet from long bath times! He still loves his baths but now he's thinking he wants to roll while in them. bad idea.
 Drake and Great Oma
My big boy sitting in the cart, he lasted for maybe two minutes.

My baby boy has teeth, how did that happen?  We had no idea he was teething, he was chewing on my finger one day and bit down and I was like OMG you have a TOOTH! what the heck?!

He was a chicken for Halloween, most people thought he was a dinosaur or dragon.  Better luck on the costume next year!  And of course our tradition of carving pumpkins again, mine is of the left and Kevin's on the right.
 Drake and Great Opa
 At Mitch's football game.

Before he could sit up and after he had grown out of his own tub we did a bumbo bath.  Now I just put a few inches of water in the tub and he loves it. But he still refuses to sit up in the tub, he loves to splash too much!
Kevin got his face painted at our ward's fall festival.

We also spent some time in Reno during October but of course I didn't get any pictures.  In two weeks we're headed to Colorado for Thanksgiving, I really can't believe the holidays are around the corner but we're excited for all our holiday traditions and to see all our families.  Drake is rolling like crazy and starting to pull his legs under his body and last night he went up on his toes and hands.  He is really good at scooting backwards and gets really mad when he can't reach something or we take something he was playing with away.  He's no longer sleeping through the night :( last night he did better than he has in a while because for half the night he was on his stomach, shhh don't tell anyone.  But i'll take all the sleep I can get for now, and He loves his tummy time, that's for sure! He wants to grab everything now and he is getting a little better at eating solid foods.  For the most part he has done well with everything we have tried except for peas and bananas. When I opened the bananas I just about dry heaved myself so I don't blame him! Our little boy is becoming big before our eyes!
