ONE

My baby is one, don't really know how that happened but he is.  He's at such a fun stage now where you can almost feel him learning.  He's so good at clapping and showing me how big he is by lifting his hands above him.  He knows where things are and you can no longer hide things behind your back because he knows they're still there.  He's a climber, is very expressive with his facial expressions, and throws fits when he doesn't get his way.  He fake laughs and scrunches up his nose like 'i'm so funny', loves to play outside and loves his dad, He loves to wrestle on the bed.  He is a pretty good sleeper most of the time and a busy body the rest of the time.  He'll pretty much eat anything.  If he spits it out the first time the next time he usually eats it right up.  He's so much fun and I often think to myself how did I get this lucky to be this boys mom? I am so blessed.

He woke up to balloons on his birthday and loved them.
His tractor from Grandpa Rob and Grandma Karen.
Clapping because he thinks his tractor is so great.  He mostly walks behind it and pushes it but he'll get the gist of it soon enough, i'm sure.

Birthday cake.  He hated it.  There was dry heaving involved. He did love to play with it though.

We went to Utah the day after his birthday but when we came home my parents gift was at our door step! He loves this one too, We've gone on walks the past couple of nights after dinner and he loves it.

He's getting good and climbing it and climbing into the seat himself.
Just sitting side saddle

Like I said, we went to Utah after Drake's birthday.  Kevin had a school thing out in Pennsylvania so I decided to go stay with my in-laws for the week, we had a great time.
He was so tired one night that he actually slept in my arms in the rocking chair.  Do you realize what a miracle this is?  Dream come true!

 "helping" in the garden

Big boy in the Rocking chair!

To say he loves climbing the stairs is an understatement.  We did it for hours a day.

This picture is bad quality but the Cat loved drake and he would laugh when he tickled his legs with his   hair.  Gross farm cat ha ha

Easter and April Fools

Easter Morning, Drake got up with Kevin.  I set up his present the night before and i'm so glad he got some pictures!
He loved his tea set! He looks super skinny in these pictures, he's in the 25th percentile for weight and 95th for height.  Pretty much what he has been his whole life.
 Easter outfit

Today is Kevin's birthday, 26!! we celebrated on friday night at his favorite restaurant, with his favorite food, sushi! It was delish! He always keeps us laughing and is the greatest husband and father.  I don't know how I got so lucky!

He got some awesome camo pants for his b-day along with a duck call! He's kind of a hick but I love him!
I went to one of my childhood friend's shower, we three were all best friends growing up! Now I have a baby, Madi is getting married and got back from her mission a few months ago.  And Kylie is getting her Master's degree! So crazy how life turns out!
Like i said, he's a climber.  Good thing I was standing right there and holding onto the stool.
Every year Kevin does what is called Annual Refresher Training (ART) it is in town and for two weeks straight he has to present.  He usually works about an hour and a half away so we went to visit dad at work a couple of days this week. One day we walked over, It's about a thirty minute walk so not too bad but only doable once ha Drake would follow Kevin around until he picked him up or cry if I tried to hold him back.  He loves his dad! Kevin is an awesome presenter and it's really fun to see him at work since I have never been out to where he works.  Its fun to see him in action though.

Drake is walking!!! It's so much fun this picture makes him look like he is a big boy! Where did my baby go?
He was walking around with his binkie like this and thought he was so funny!
Oreo's for breakfast.  Mom of the year.  He loves them though and how can you say no to this face?
Playing with dad's duck calls.  One of his new favorite things! I think I say this is every post but he is so active! He gets fussy sometimes I think just because he is bored! Now that the weather is warming up we can go outside which makes things lots nicer.  He still puts everything in his mouth and is pretty good at walking.  Loves to people watch. Loves to get into everything and needs to be part of everything that you're doing.  He is so fun, I have loved every stage he has been in including this one.  He is super independent and loves to do things on his own, he doesn't like to be fed by anyone but himself and if you're using a spoon he must hold onto it for it to go into his mouth.

Mile High and Sin City

I updated a little about our trip to Vegas a few posts ago but mostly talked about the car. Here are a few pictures from the trip!
At our friend's wedding! The main reason for visiting Vegas.
At Mcdonalds on the way there.  It was early morning and he had the play place all to himself, it was perfect for being out of the car.

Our friends watched him while we went to the wedding! And they got this tiny puppy that night, so cute!! Drake loved to chase him around.

At Mcdonalds again, I was watching him out of the corner of my eye and all of a sudden was like oh my gosh he's in the slide! We definitely have a climber on our hands!

We were home for a few weeks and then my younger brother, Chandler who is a senior in High school went to the final four for basketball.  My brother and sister in law, Drake and I decided to make the trek over to see him play!  It was a spur of the moment trip and sadly Kevin couldn't come because he had to go get the car in Vegas and had finals for school. We missed him lots!
Drake had a super rough time at the game, it was so loud in there and he would not let go of me and cried for over an hour straight.  It was so so sad.  He finally settled down in time to watch my brother's game, (there were games going on before that) But after the game it was almost midnight and we stopped to have dinner at Ihop, this is how he lounged in his seat, it lasted for about ten minutes and then he just wined the rest of the time.  He'd had a rough day, poor guy!
Sleeping on the way to the game, probably why he was so upset during, he didn't finish his nap.

Just blueberries for breakfast, he loves them!
Playing with uncle Konner at Sports Authority
My parent's dog, Hank.  He is massive! Drake didn't like him at first but then decided he did.
Uncle Chandler turned 18 while we were there! He also received his mission call to Santos, BRAZIL reporting to the Brazil MTC on August 7th.
He loved the trampoline! Hank pretty much attacked me while I was out there because I wouldn't play with him.  Thankfully I had my phone so I called Chandler to come rescue us after I jumped on the tramp to get away from him.
Reading stories with Papa and Auntie Klaire, he loved it!
 Rocking with Mooty
He learned to flush the toilet while we were there and thought it was the funniest thing ever, too cute!
He had lots of new cupboards to get into

My little brother made the newspaper!

This was my Grandma's Rocking horse, he liked it at first but then just wanted to get off.  It was a fun trip to Denver though!
