Here we GO!

In my last post I mentioned that Kevin had graduated and that we didn't know where we would be or what the plan was, well in a few days that has ALL changed! Like I also mentioned Kevin had interviewed with a company called Barrick Gold in Elko, Nevada a few weeks ago, they told us that they would let us know their decision by Friday, the day before he was supposed to graduate. On Thursday they had called and left a message saying they wanted to talk to Kev about his interview and to call them back so he tried a few times that day but never got through and then they never called back all weekend. We were a little discouraged assuming that since we hadn't heard from them again that he probably hadn't been offered the job. So on Monday night when we still hadn't heard anything and he had been offered another job here in Logan he wanted to make sure that they had filled the position so the next morning since he couldn't get a hold of HR he called the interviewer who was a little puzzled as to why we hadn't heard. He told Kevin they were impressed with his interview and they were OFFERING!!! He said he would get a hold of HR and we would know more details by the end of the day! He called me at work and I didn't know whether or not to believe him, it was crazy because both of us had just assumed that we would probably be staying in Logan for another year. So we waited the rest of the day and finally knew all the details!  They emailed the official offer and explained all the details so here it is...

We are moving to ELKO, Nevada! I know, exciting right? Well I'm excited, it's a new adventure for our family! Kevin's tentative start date will be June 20th so we'll still be around for a little while to get all ready for the big move! He'll be doing Industrial Hygiene work at the Gold mine either on the surface mine or underground (that worries me a little!) and other than getting up at 4:30 to be at work I don't know much else about what he'll be doing. So, here goes the house hunt and everything else that goes along with moving.  I can't say how glad I am to finally know where we'll be next year and how much I know we are watched out for constantly by a loving Heavenly Father who answers our prayers and gives us endless opportunities to learn and grow.

What's next?

Yesterday Kevin Graduated from college!! yay! After 6 long years he did it and I am so proud of him and that he is a good hard worker and I am so grateful that he loves school so much and worked hard to push through and get done with his education... at least for now! Maybe next year we'll be heading off to another stretch but who know? We sure don't!

So what's next for us?  Great question.  He had an interview out in Elko, Nevada a couple of weeks ago but we still haven't heard back so maybe that will work out, if not we'll stay in Logan or search for something else! We're just all up in the air with where we'll be this next year of our lives.  But we do know that wherever we end up being that it will be the very best spot for our family and we're excited to experience whatever comes next, as long as we're together!
Here are some pictures from Graduation Weekend.

Congrats on Graduation Babe! I'm so proud of you!

Again, Super late but I have to blog about our fun Spring break to California to Visit Tara, Ryan and Will!  We had tons of fun and it was such a BEAUTIFUL week and just what we needed to get away for a week and lay in the sun. Of course I didn't get very many pictures but we mostly layed in the sun and had fun visiting. Thanks again for letting us come and stay!
Cute will building a sand castle! And how cute is the picture below?! Uncle Kevin and Will soaking up the sun! Too bad we had to come back to a complete month of all rain! But hopefully nice weather will be coming for us soon!

Twenty Four!!!

On Friday was my cute husbands birthday so I just wanted to post about his special day! So he got lots of little treats and lots of little notes about why I loved him through the day. It was such a pretty day I met him up on campus for my lunch break to enjoy some sun.  After his last class he came home and openend his big surprise... a Drill! Yay! it's such a grown up gift but still very fun for odd jobs around the house and now my handy man will be even more handy with his drill :) Because it was such a pretty day we decided to go to first dam and feed the ducks. It was fun to sit and watch them and enjoy the beautiful day outside.  After that we went to dinner with his parents at Texas Roadhouse, and yes he saddled up!!! It was such a fun day. One year ago on his birthday we were just starting to date and it has been such a great year. I've been so lucky to spend it with him. We have so much fun together and laugh all the time. He's my favorite person to be around and see when I walk through the door at the end of the day. I love you Kevin! Happy birthday!

Love Day

I know this is SUPER late but I needed to blog about our Valentines day! In the past I have been known to not like Valentines day and especially flowers so I have managed to avoid having a "valentine" until this year. I think I saved my first Valentine for a good one! So this year I was looking forward to that great day and felt like it couldn't come fast enough.

At the end of January I drug Kevin on one of my shopping trips to Hobby Lobby and showed him a door Decoration that I wanted to get for Valentine's day but thought I would wait for it to get a little closer. That was on a Friday and on Saturday I went to work for a few hours and when I came home it was on the front door! How cute, huh? It definitely made my week!

{Don't mind our awkward High school prom pose!}

On Valentines Day we both worked and Kevin went to school but then we came home, exchanged our gifts and went out for some yummy chinese food!

Kevin got me the cute red coat i'm wearing and some hershey kisses flowers, He's the cutest husband ever! Kevin got some new basketball shorts {to replace the same ones he's had for 9 years} and a pearl snap button up shirt!

Anyway It was a great "first" Valentines day for us and I can't wait for all the rest to come along!  Hope you all had a great Love day!

Mario Party

In four days we're be here! In california for spring break visiting Kevin's brother, Sister in-law and nephew, I'm so excited and can't wait to get out of town for a few days!

Onto our everyday lives...
Almost everytime I get on my blog and see the same old post and pictures I think to myself, I really should blog more. But it really never does happen because the truth is I would rather read everyone elses blogs than write about our lives. I wouldn't say our life is boring, I think it is anything but! However, it's just probably not super exciting for you all to read about us going to school and work, coming home and making dinner and then finding the closest pair of sweats to us and cuddling up with a blanket, in our freezing apartment. {partly because we're too cheap to turn the heat up and partly because once you're under the blanket you don't want to get out into the cold to turn on the heat.} After we're cuddled up and nice and toasty we like to play games, watch movies, just hang out and as of late one of our hobbies has been mario party. yeah, that's right and on n-64. We love it, but again it would probably get a little old posting a few times a week that Kevin beat me, yet again on mario party.  But as lame as it sounds we love Mario party and we laugh our butts off while we play, and even sometimes get mad at each other for beating the other- we're slightly competitive. So for lack of pictures at the moment and lack of other things to blog about I thought I would share something about our exciting lives!

What we've been up to

A few weeks ago we went out to dinner and then went to watch the aggie basketball week. The best part was that we had a gift card from christmas still and free dessert. It was Delicious and fun to go out for the night and then afterwards cuddle up and watch the game.

Another adventure we had at the beginning of this year is that we had some visitors. But definitely not the kind you like you have around the house...

Yes, we have ants. At first Kevin didn't realize that it was a serious problem and thought that we had just a few but one day realized what a problem it was. The weirdest part is that they're in our bathroom, not our kitchen where i feel like most ants are because they need the food but in our bathroom! It's gross and I get rid of them like every single night. So we finally bought traps but they haven't really been working, we still have a few little visitors. this is me trying to get rid of our ants. Kevin told me i had to post at least one picture because the blog is the closest thing to a journal for us. So it is mostly for us to look back and remember, but here it is!

Another adventure we had this month was one day when it was like negative 5 outside, like it usually is in cold Logan so i was thinking a tanning bed sounded like the greatest place on earth. So kevin and I decided to go and earlier in the summer i got some sample tanning lotions so i was like do you really think these work? and his response was I don't know. let's try them so I gave him one and he took the other one. When i came out he was waiting for me and was like i'm sure glad you didn't use the same one I did so when we got home he took off his shirt and was BRIGHT red everywhere that he put the lotion but missed a few spots on his neck so was white there. it was pretty funny. He was dreading the next few days and having a terrible sunburn but when he woke up the next morning it was gone apparently it was just the lotion!
Last weekend we went to Salt Lake with one of our friends Damian and went to the Jazz game. It was a lot of fun getting out for the night and doing something we've never done before.
