As of late...

Drake and I started off August in Colorado with my family.  It was fun to see them and of course Drake was spoiled!
This little boy turned three months old!
We celebrated our Two year Anniversary!
We Played some mini golf in the hot weather, We had to strip Drake down to his diaper so he wouldn't overheat.
This little boy found his Thumb a lot and then lost it again, thankfully.  He still loves his fingers and fists though.
He also figured out that he could hold the bottle.  He still hasn't quite mastered it but he's getting there.  I lost my milk so he is completely formula fed, I have mixed feelings about that.

He blew lots and lots of spit bubbles.
We ended the Month in Utah/ Colorado Where we went to the USU vs SUU game, Kevin's younger brother Mitch plays for SUU and Drake fell asleep playing with the burp rag in Grandma Karen's arms, He must have been tired!
 Love my Aggie boys!
Drake and I drove to Grand Junction, CO with my brother and Sister in law to see my youngest brother play football and spend some time with my family.
My brother Chandler with his dyed mustache.
 My brothers

My sister Klaire, Her mustache is way better than chandlers.
We started off September In Utah and in the Sun
This little boy tried Rice Cereal for the first time, He didn't love it and I'm still working on it with him but we'll see how he feels about Veggies soon.

 He also found his tongue
He got a new toy that he loves, he gets to stand which is something he loves!

We did lots of bath time, he loves his baths.
And he turned 4 Months old.
I can't believe how summer flew by! We've had so much fun adjusting to our life of a family of three, and we're excited for fall to come.  Kevin just started a master's program so between that and how busy he is at work he is very very busy but we're excited for all the changes to come and couldn't feel more blessed!

July

Here is what we did in July in pictures from my phone...
Drake had his first shots. It was heartbreaking, he screamed and cried harder than ever before and then slept the whole day afterwards and would wake up and cry and moan in his sleep.  I've never been so sad, if I could have taken his pain away I would have.
His cute jeans, I love putting him in them. I don't think there's anything cuter than little jeans. Except of course my baby boy wearing the jeans.
He went on a little trip to take the garbage out with dad.
 Sleeping in church
HUGE blowout.  How did it even get on his elbow? Good thing he was only in his diaper.
Lots of packing so we could go to both Utah and Colorado for two weeks.  My parents came out for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary so Drake and I drove home with them and stayed for a week and then flew back. It was so fun to spend time with them!
Kevin took me to wicked, it was amazing I loved it and thanks to my mom for babysitting!

Trying the swing out at my parents house
He is obsessed with TV.  He started to get fussy so my sister put him in the swing and faced the tv and he was glued.
Fist sucker, all the time.  It's so cute but lately has gotten a lot more slobbery and I don't know how I feel about that.
Fell asleep with his head in my armpit and started to love having the blanket over his face.  Scares me half to death but after he falls asleep I uncover his face.
Sounds good to me!
Date night at Charlie's with my two favorite boys the night Drake and I got back from Colorado.

the 4th, first haircut, and 2 months!

We stayed in Elko for the 4th this year and went to spring creek to watch their parade with our friends the Tanners. {They are moving in a few weeks and we are going to miss them so much!!}

Drake's hair has been bald all around his head except for a circle at the crown of his head and then right above his neck... kind of like a ya mica and a mullet so it has desperately needed to be trimmed but I couldn't do it on my own since his head is still a little wobbly but we tried the bumbo for the first time this weekend! And I saw the perfect opportunity to pull out the trimmer.
{He wasn't too happy at first, he didn't know what to think of it.}
But then he decided he liked it okay, I was kind of surprised but it was fun for him to try something new especially since he is so much more attentive these days and likes to look around at everything.

So we tried the bumbo on Friday and then on Saturday he was sitting in it and I thought it would be a good time for a first haircut.

This is the before, yeah, he definitely needed a haircut.
It looks better now. He kept trying to turn his head to see what the noise was so that made it a little harder but other than that he did great! The bumbo was sitting too high up so i couldn't exactly get the mullet so I'll have to have some help from Kev this week!

Yesterday was Drake's two month birthday! I can't believe how fast time has gone! We love our little guy and its hard to think what life was like before he came.

Some things about Drake... He smiles a lot now, especially in the mornings.
He's starting to talk and coo a lot more which has been way fun.  If I coo back he'll talk more
He loves to lay on his back and kick and move his arms, if I let him he would probably do it all day
When he does tummy time he is lifting his head and now lifting his upper body off the ground
He wants to be looking around all the time and will get fussy if we lay him down and he wants to be sitting and looking around the room.
Loves his bath time
He has been sleeping consistently for five hours each night!! We've even had seven hours in there a few times {YAHOO}

His stats when we went to the Doctor are..
24 1/2 inches long {he's grown 4 inches since he was born!} 95th percentile
10lbs 8 oz  50th percentile
Head circumference: 13 inches 20th percentile

His first shots were heartbreaking at his check up, I cried pretty much all day, it was so sad.  I think I'll make Kevin take him next time.  We are so lucky to have him, he is such a happy and content baby as long as he is not tired and has a full belly.  We have so much fun with him and are so glad he came to our family!

Indianapolis

Last week Kevin had a work conference in Indianapolis so in February when he signed up he asked if me and baby wanted to go.  Of course we did! Although we were a little worried about how baby would do since he wasn't even here when we decided to go but we decided to book the tickets and hope for the best! And we couldn't have had a better result.  Drake did great on the plane ride, on the way there he got a little fussy but we hit some turbulence and it put him right to sleep.  On the way home he pretty much slept the whole way except when he woke up once to eat. While we were there Kevin was in classes all day so Drake and I got to explore the city.  It is a really neat city and was named the most walking friendly city in America so everything was within walking distance and we could just put Drake in the stroller and go wherever we needed to go.  Some of the other wives came too so we shopped and went to lunch and explored while the boys worked.  After the boys would get out of classes we would go to dinner and hang out with them.

We toured Lucas oil stadium, where the colts play so that was interesting and fun minus that it was super super hot in there.

This is what Drake did while we toured the stadium.

We also went to the zoo on the last day so Kevin got to come with us, it was a really neat zoo, we got to pet these dog sharks AHHH! They had a way cool dolphin show too and we got to watch an elephant get bathed and pet the elephant.

The Penguins were my favorite!

We had a way fun trip and I'm so glad we got to go! It was my first experience with humidity which i'm not a fan of but we got to do lots of fun things, we're so glad we went! Next year the conference is in Canada so we better start convincing Kevin now that we want to go!
And of course we'll end with a picture of this smiley boy! love him!
